At the end of 2015, the City of Los Altos asked us to evaluate what the construction costs might be to repair, reconstruct, and renovate the Historic Halsey House for purposes of adaptive reuse by the City's Recreation Department. As an alternate plan, they also wanted us to prepare a building design and determine what kind of budget would be needed, if they decided to replace the older structure with a new Nature Center facility of equal size in the same general location within the Nature Preserve.
Between 1949 and 1966 Joseph Eichler's company Eichler Homes, built over 11,000 homes in nine communities in Northern California and homes in three communities in Southern California.
